VaultID – Decentralized Identity Verification Platform

VaultID is a blockchain-based decentralized identity platform designed to give users full control over their digital identity and personal credentials. The project aims to eliminate the security and privacy issues of traditional centralized identity systems by using Web3 technologies such as Polygon blockchain, IPFS storage, and MetaMask authentication.

The main goal of VaultID is to enable secure, privacy-preserving, and tamper-proof identity verification without relying on centralized authorities. Users can securely store credentials, control who can access them, and share only verification proof instead of exposing sensitive documents.

The platform introduces three key roles:

  • Issuer — issues digital credentials
  • Holder — stores and manages credentials
  • Verifier — requests credential verification

VaultID uses blockchain smart contracts to store verification proofs and IPFS to securely store credential files in a decentralized manner. By combining decentralized storage, blockchain verification, and wallet-based authentication, the project creates a secure and transparent identity ecosystem for the future of Web3 applications.
